Francesca lives and maintains her studio near Yachats, OR.
"I was formally trained as a stained glass artist and I used to make full-sized art glass windows and other large works. Since moving to Tidewater, Oregon 5 years ago, I no longer have a large workshop, so I have created a family of smaller art objects that can be made in my living room. I call them Window Jewels, although they may be hung anywhere in the home as most of the pieces are made with rainbow crystals which sparkle beautifully even in dark spaces. Starting with glass crystals and embossed metal, I utilize my skills at soldering, copper wire forming, painting and patina finishes to make an endless variety of unique creations. My artistic inspiration comes from various sources such as fantasy, nature, art nouveau and symbolism. I also love to make custom creations.
"I am very gratified at the attention my creations have received at many art shows, fairs and galleries. I'm also proud to have a selection of my works on continuous display at the River Run Gallery on the McKenzie River, home of the celebrated metal sculptor Ken Scott."

This section is intended as more or less a history of the work of our artists. As such, it is useful more as a means of seeing the evolution of an artists' work, rather than a representation of what the artist is currently creating.
Techniques, colors used, and even form of color are elements that change over time for an artist. And some pieces will remain unique combinations of color and movement that artist may not be able to reproduce.
Of course, there are some here that may be able to be duplicated - at least to some degree - by the artist. Please contact us if there is a piece you may be interested in.
