Ornaments

Since that time in 1967, those "good-will messengers" from across the Pacific have dwindled, but the tradition of finding hand-blown glass Floats on the Oregon coast has been continued by glassblowers on this side of the Pacific. Of course, the newer Floats are more decorative than functional, but that also allows for the addition of colors and textures glassblowers of the past would have never imagined.
Bob has a unique way of creating our floats to have that variety of color and texture, creating a tactile as well as visual experience. Bob's Floats are available in a variety of styles - the Standard Float, the Hanging Float, and the Lighted Float styles. Various sizes are available as well, from the 3-1/2" Minifloats and Ornaments, to the 6" Standard and Hanging Floats, to the 7", 8" or 10" Large Floats.
Well, maybe the "Floats" section seems like a funny place to find Ornaments. But Ornaments are essentially just a miniature version (approx. 3-1/2") of our Hanging Floats - a blown glass sphere, finished with a plug of glass that's shaped into a hook. Again, a great way to get these fantastic colors onto a small surface for display.
