Memorial ORBS

The Memorial Orb is a solid sphere of 3-1/2” in diameter, and is comprised of multiple layers of clear glass. The ashes are encased  between the inner two layers, and the colors you have chosen between the next two.  The result is a permanent spherical showcase of ash caught frozen in time, moving through once-molten glass.

Bob has been creating Memorial Orbs since he started his studio in 2005. He creates the Orbs right in our glassblowing shop, handling the ashes meticulously throughout the process.

Since each Memorial Orb requires only a small amount of ash, it's possible to share a loved one between multiple family members.  Being a solid piece of glass, the Orb is the least fragile of our Memorial pieces.

If you're interested in ordering a Memorial Orb, you can do it right through our website.  We do need to have the ashes to create the Orbs.  We ask for approximately one teaspoonful of ash per Orb.  If you can't bring them in, you'll need to send them via USPS according to their standards (see the USPS pamphlet "How to Package and Ship Cremated Remains").

One additional note:  please keep in mind that the ashes become a permanent part of the Orb.  Though they will be   re-done at no charge if there are major flaws (e.g., cracks) in the finished product, “re-dos” done for any other reason will be charged at regular price.  Out of respect for the ashes, we will make sure you receive all Orbs made with your ashes, regardless of condition - likewise, we will not accept  returns or exchanges of Orbs.  Lastly, we cannot accept responsibility for damage or cracks in the Orb that occur after the time of purchase.
