Our Online Gallery focuses on items that an artist has had on display here over time, rather than items that are available right now. The goal of our Online Gallery is to provide a good representation of the range of work each artist creates.

Bob creates a variety of hand-blown light shades. They are designed to be used with table lamps, pendant lights, sconce lights and floor lamps.

One of the most common questions we get is whether these shades will fit on fixtures that people already have. Indeed, there are many fixtures out there with which these will not work, but there are getting to be many more that do You can tell this just by taking a quick look at the fixture you have.

In thes "Shade Fixtures" category below, you'll see photos of the type of socket that's present in all the fixtures we've used with these shades, no matter what style. The common features are:

the socket is approximately 1-1/2" in diameter (Bob does adjust the opening for variations)
the socket is threaded on the outside as well as the inside
there's an accompanying threaded ring that screws onto the socket to hold the shade in place

We do get some requests for other fixtures. We can evaluate those on a case-by-case basis, but they usually include one of the following:

those small halogen bulb fixtures: the shades generally need to be smaller and lighter than what we can make them, so we generally do not do these
those fixtures with the 3 screws that hold the shade in place: our shades are not compatible with those, though we can provide replacement sockets for the fixture that will allow the fixture to work with our shades (note: you'll need an electrician to do it)
